Nothing much to say in this entry, just an entry to push the previous ancient one off the front page.  :)

I've been making photos of pretty scenery over the last couple of years, so I thought I'd upload some of them here.
I'm working on eeps at the moment, though I haven't photographed them yet.

Today I made: spider, bat, panda, german shepherd, male lion, standard dragon (not sure about his schnoz, as it looks like a beak) and one I like to call a "black lightning" dragon.

When I get them finally sorted out, the kits will be $8-12 and ready-made ones will be $16-22.

Thinking about videos - the first one I need to make will be a "Basics of Fur Fabric Wrangling" with an intro to the materials I use, and a tutorial on How To Use A Needle And Thread, because honest to gods, people, it's not that hard, don't be afraid.
So on Saturday there's a Sydney furry meeting thingy in the city that :iconspiritofcat: is going to, because he's been socialising with lots of peeps. And I am going along in case anyone wants to buy patterpillars and see my sample build-a-beasties.

I think I'm going to have to make some videos showing how to sew eeps and stars, as I'm not satisfied with the instructions I managed to cram on to the A4 sheet that comes with them. It needs Moar Diagrams, but diagrams take up space, and take ages to draw.

The next problem is - where in the house should I film them? I could use the back deck on a sunny day, but the neighbours will probably come home and yell at their kids and mess up the sound. The spare room has lots of light in the afternoon, as its window faces west, but it is currently overflowing with junk. Maybe that will make me tidy it.
Here are some auctions of my original drawings: www.furbuy.com/seller/rahball.…

If you don't like rudeness, just look at the cute ACEO card of the smilodon.

Might upload some more things if people seem interested, or you can ask me about them here. I tried to photograph a whole lot of things to sell, but they all came out blurry!

A4-sized commissions like those ones are AU$60.
I just figured out I could turn the stacks off on the submissions list! Hooray!

Also, www.patterpillarshop.com is slightly updated.
I'm working on a new Cthulhu toy design, which I will make into a Build-a-beastie kit. It will be excellent. I'm going to use the same body plan to make dragons, as well.

I gave up trying to save the environment and got some clear zip-lock bags to package the kits in. That way people can see what's inside and none of the bits get lost.

I also started making kits of eeps and starz. They're a good place to start if you're dubious about your sewing ability.

Photos and website update coming at some point.
I made six Build-a-Beastie kits for the fair on the weekend, but I didn't sell any, which means I still have them, and they're looking for homes!

And the really good news is that because I've now done their instruction manuals, I can make them cheaper - only $35 each.

You can also have a $35 custom one if you can make it just by changing the colours on one of these existing models because (again) it means I can send you an existing instruction manual instead of fussing about taking a bunch of new photos.

www.facebook.com/album.php?aid… (Go here and see them!) (and friend that page while you're there).
Today I nutted out the pattern for the head of a feline Build-a-Beastie, and I made a sample one and was looking forward to photographing it.

And then I discovered that none of the noses I have are large enough. Curses!

So I've sent off an emergency order to one of the online teddybear supply shops for some 25mm and 30mm noses (and a new pair of scissors). Meanwhile, Mr Purple-and-Yellow Decapitated Panther Head has to wait.

Now I should try to make a bit more progress on the Rainbow Monster figurines I decided I was making for Fair Day.

Stuff I sell:

Ink and graphite drawings for AU$11 (see previous journal: timmerryn.deviantart.com/journ…)

Build-a-Beastie custom soft toy kits, cute paintable sculptures and patterpillars (www.patterpillarshop.com/)

T-shirts, comic books, coloured drawings (pantheon.comicgenesis.com/shop…)
So I've been poking around on Furbuy and noticed people selling some interesting new sorts of commissions.

There's the "art slave for a [time period]", where the artist undertakes to produce a certain number of artworks for the commissioner (eg. one a week, three a month).

The comic commission (okay, these have been around forever), but there's one up there at the moment with some good constraints on it (max of four pages and 3 characters)

Oh, and people fill up their journals with "100 $10 sketches" and suchlike. There seems to be something about the slot format that makes people go "omg, must grab one!", whereas with open-ended commission offers they're all "yeah, maybe one day"

I wonder if I should try either of these. There's no doubt that I can make comics, and I have made comics from other people's scripts in the past, but it can be troublesome if the writer has no experience of the medium (eg. there's a limit to the amount of text that can fit in a panel).  I need to auction off not just my ability to draw speech bubbles, but my creative expertise, so that the customer brings the concept and the characters, and I help them shape it into something special(-er).

This is similar to the Build-a-Beastie concept, where people's ideas have to be filtered through my knowledge of how you actually make a stuffed toy. Maybe it could work. Comment if you have any thoughts.

See pantheon.comicgenesis.com/shop… for more details about patterpillars, custom arts, as well as my Pantheon t-shirts and comic books. :) I don't make soft toys any more, because I got tired of sewing. Sorry about that!
Hah, I tidied up my gallery so only the super-exciting stuff is in the "featured" directory and all the rest are in folders. :)
Anyone out there who enjoys slash, particularly Jeeves and Wooster, go and visit my "Blue Page" pantheon.comicgenesis.com/blue… .

There are some brand new Project Wonderful ads on that page now, too, plus some new fiction of mine, which is essentially Jeeves and Wooster in Mr Darcy times. Plus the existing five J/W stories, two Discworld (Rincewind) ones and various other nonsense.
I have just put up a bunch of Project Wonderful ads on my old comic, The Pantheon pantheon.comicgenesis.com .

There are still plenty of empty slots, so grab one while they're free!

I will put them on Dark Lord's Garden as well, eventually, but apparently I need to have 30 pages of updates first.
O hai ppls!

I have a new comic, called The Dark Lord's Garden, at darklord.comicgenesis.com

It's about a (supposedly) evil wizard and his household, who can think of heaps of better things to do with their time than trying to take over the world.

Many of these things are NSFW. But there is also plot. Honest!
Sorry, all, haven't been on for months, and am not doing commissions any more. But enjoy the gallery!
Hello, everyone, sorry for the long absence.
I've just moved house, to a place with a more expensive rent and, uh oh, the bank balance is rapidly declining!

Gone away on holiday til the 21st!

Also, I am doing these things:

* Working for Plaster Painting
* Making stock for the Discworld convention (squee!)
* Doing airbrushed tattoos and selling patterpillars at a new weekly market.

So I can't start any new commissions, or I'll never fit it all in!
Photos of latest completed things coming soon.

PS - You need a Loonakit!  SPark makes them, and they're very cute.
