Pattable picture - dog n' ball

I couldn't wait til the morning, oh no! Just finished my second Pattable Picture -this time it has a proper furry background. This nicely covers up the icky top edges of the fur where the pile drops out from being cut.

Background was a bit tricky. I wanted to use the paper outline I had of the dog to make the background, but by the time I'd glued the fur version of the dog down, he was a different shape to the paper one. So I decided to make a cardboard-sized rectangle of the background fur and then cut away where the dog was by peeping underneath. It worked all right except that I made the initial cut-out too big and then had to stretch the fur down to cover the gap. I avoided getting a big lump in the fabric by cutting a slit near the dog's tail.
Took ages and was a bit iffy, but I can't think of a better way to do it if I want the background all in one piece. Maybe a sharper pair of small scissors would help...

Still have to fold the edges of the background over at the back, and probably glue on a black suede back to make it look neat.
Only I need more glue, it ran out.
