Nell the Erran

This is a character called Nell I invented for a graphic novel/comic series I'm going to write one day, so don't pinch her.

Remember my "Invertebrates are funny too" series a while back? This is sort of an extension of that, where I've taken invertebrate animals hardly anyone's heard of and turned them into "demons", as a change from the same old mammals that people keep turning into Furries. In my story, there are furry demons too, but they're the ruling classes, and oppress the "inverts".

Anyway, Nell is an Erran, which is short for "errant polychaete". Polychaetes are related to earthworms, but they live in the sea and are prettier. The "errant" ones swim around instead of burying themselves in one spot. They swim using their parapodia (the things poking out of Nell's sides that look like ears).

Nell doesn't live in the sea like the animals she's based on, but she still looks cool. She has a friend who's an " Onnyk" (remember the onychophoran with the sperm on his head from " Invertebrates are funny too"?). I might scan in a sketch of him one day, there's a good one hanging around somewhere.
